On March 9, 2017, the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Alumni Association of Indonesia (JAAI) was inaugurated at Century Park Hotel Jakarta. This event marked a significant step in fostering research collaboration between Indonesia and Japan. The ceremony featured key figures from both countries, including Prof. Dr. Subyakto, the first president of JAAI, and representatives from JSPS and LIPI.
A keynote lecture by Prof. Dr. Mitsuyasu Hasebe highlighted the importance of basic scientific research and set the tone for future collaborative efforts. The event also showcased ongoing bilateral projects, demonstrating the practical outcomes of JAAI’s initiatives.
